This image was taken in the hills outside Carlsbad, New Mexico

using an Olympus Om1 with Ektachrome P1600 slide film and a

50mm lens at f2.8 piggyback on my Celestron C5. Exposure time

was 30 minutes. The brightest object, at far left, is the planet Jupiter.

The dark area at lower right is the horizon. Here you are looking

into the center of our galaxy in the constellation Sagittarius. This

area contains some of the best deep sky objects in the heavens.
